Jose as a Nutcracker

Interns should never be bored or they shall be turned into nutcrackers... Actually he volunteered because he had nothing else to do and didn't think I would draw him. Anyways, I like the way it came out and for a larger drawing it was quite fun to make the lines big and dark so a kid could colour it in.

In the Daylight

I tried to get loose with this and not erase my original lines, and play with the clothing a bit. This is actually the first picture I've drawn in weeks.

Green Means Go

I wanted to try in incorporate French into my art... And I want to try and figure out markers.... And my attempt looks like I got my 10 year old cousin to draw the picture for me.

Blindfold.

The one thing I love about this drawing is how close I got to the the overall likeness of the original picture. It was very simple, and I had fun drawing it... I'm told it would look better with a background, I'll work on adding backgrounds in to my other pieces...

Updates...

Or lack there of. I don't know when I'll draw something worth posting, at the moment I'm trying out new styles and trying to get more technical and get more expression and likeness. So far, I've got nothing. Hopefully I'll have something soon.

Sketchbook Throwup

First off, I now hate this drawing. She's all sorts of wrong. Not to mention I couldn't for the life of me get her hair right... And her ear is too small.

I like how this turned out, being my first full body superhero. The right hand is still giving me a hard time, but whatever I'll get it. I can't remember who the original art was by, but I copied it pretty well.

Iwan Rheon, or Simon from BBC's "Misfits". I'd like to think the general likeness of him is here, but I wish I could have conveyed more emotion in his eyes.

I got massivly bored ad was listening to "House Fire" by SSLYBY and came up with this, I really want to do a cool blood splatter across her face, but I don't want to ruin it by trying.

Late Update

So this was a piece I postponed ever finishing but it got done due to nagging. So in all it's glory, a fat cardinal. Done with ink and watercolours.

Well this has no real reason to be posted, but whatever. I messed up the ear and kept it towards the back of his head when it needed to come forward... This lovely guy is Kingpin from the old Spiderman cartoons, but skinny, because I didn't want to attempt to draw him fat.

Carl

(the date is wrong, I drew this at 1145 last night while sitting in the hospital.) This is the look of my sister's boyfriend when he was talking with her... Sad, huh?

reach

My scanner cropped him a bit, but overall I like how he turned out. And I like how he's proportional for the most part. I'm thinking about colouring him with pencils later... Possibly.

doodles

I got bored...

Astronaut II

This one is just a draft until I can redraw the falling guy's too long arms. But I like where this is going so far.

old family portrait

I like how it turned out, but the photo I took of it  kinda kills it. My mom's face needs a bit of work so I might end up redrawing it and colouring it. I don't know yet.

A sketch of a girl that was sitting "across" from me on the deck today at school. I think it turned out pretty well considering I had to be sly with looking at her.

Ruins

Oil painting that took only a total of 7 days but it was spread out within 7 weeks. I know it's a bad picture, but with my cell phone camera I try to make due. The dimensions of the canvas is a 16x20 I think.

Ocean

I just brought this little thing home from the studio, it was completed a few weeks back, but it's finally dry, and not on display... As for why it's called "ocean" I have not a clue, it just kinda needed a name... (This was painted with leftover paint that I didn't want to waste.)

Astronaut I Full Colour

Okay, so I love how this turned out. Sure the proportions of this poor guy's arms are a bit off as are his hands, that's okay with me right now. Why? Because the next 2 in this "series" are going to be epic and blow this one out of the water.

Astronaut I

This was tonight's (yes that's right, I am officially current, from here on out, everything posted will be on that day.) drawing I doodled him in my astronomy class today. I had I different idea for the object in his? hands but the image left shortly after entering my hollow brain. So I put a flaming ball with a music note in it. This is the first in maybe a series of Astronauts floating around the galaxy in my mind. I'm also going to stay up late and colour this one :D

boy

this was Sunday and today's doodle. I don't really know what I was going for with him, but this is what happens when I'm deprived of a good muse.

flashlight flowers

I drew this with candle light and a torch during the blackout last thursday (sept. 8, 2011) and also got started on a landscape for my mum (below) which I'll be showing the progress of along the way.

horror doodle

Been playing with this whole idea... I want it to be shocking, and really big and frightening. But I also want it to be perfect, and I still don't have the comic book style down yet. Who knows.

Dracula?

I wish the picture quality was better. But this was my first attempt in using markers for a whole piece, I like how it turned out on paper, but in uploading it, the picture has lost some nice shading transitions, and got a tad blurry.

Creep

Well, my blog is almost caught up, I'm getting into August, and I'll have paintings and such to add next week. And hopefully some new coloured pieces, and some nice new digital pieces. Or a comic page about Ole Romer and his thing for the moon (a new amusing thought from this kid in my astronomy class). But for now let's finished getting current.

owl

Okay, I should start with, have this thing with owls. And now I should say that I really want to do this owl on something big with spray paints... Or put it on a mug or something. Feel free to look at me funny, I get it every once in a while.

wish

You can't really see all the detail in the stippling, I really wish it came out better in the picture. But I was impressed by my patience with this one. And I love how it turned out.
